Insider trading appears to be legal if you’re rich enough or a member of congress. Unless you’re Martha Stewart.

What is particularly valuable about what you have written is that it highlights the failure of major media even to mention such an apparently significant contextual bit of information.

It would be interesting to see exchanges between the reporters who want to include this information and their editors, and to hear or read why the editors refused to publish or broadcast it.

This makes me wonder if he ordered his own hit? The assassin knowing the day, timing, route, etc is just so convenient…

In other countries, wealthy men who saw the legal nets closing in & their options disappearing, have issued their own assassination so their family could benefit from the insurance payouts. This “suicide-by-assassination” is not new.

That's fascinating, I had never considered this

Very interesting take. I could see this as a possibility too, however, just not that likely of one.

My thinking is that killing anybody is plain wrong, but it is even more wrong to do it simply for the reason of being denied care and/or losing someone to such a decision.

I wrote a different take on my Substack which illuminates the government intervention in the healthcare service industry within the US which essentially mandated that care providers would have to begin cutting down costs and ensuring only those who really needed it were given post acute care.

Keep doing what you’re doing. Thank you.

Thanks for sharing this. Clearly, this was a hit job.

Not that it absolves him in any way, but often CEOs of publicly traded companies have automated trading of their shares in order to avoid even the appearance that they are doing insider trading on the basis of information unknown to the marketplace at large.

Any idea if that was the case with this guy?

It is probably too soon to ponder the political and philosophical implications of the shooting, but this student of history and lover of political tumult cannot resist:

A not-for-profit company like Intermountain Health is a model for the rest of the country. Not a perfect example, but better than most of the greedy, money loving, profit above all, insurance and healthcare companies.

He was not a “good man”. Didn’t deserve the bullets, but that doesn’t sugarcoat how terrible of a crook he was. I pay $1000/mo for UHC coverage. I only see my Dr. once every 3 months, via video conference. UHC has denied every single claim. Their AI is designed to deny 1st, we are expected to fight the denial. It’s money 1st (and always) for UHC. Worst insurance company ever.

The "group" filed the lawsuit because it alleges "insider trading", and the Plaintiffs lost the money entrusted to them to invest, while expecting to be taking only the normal risk connected with such investment, not the alleged corruptly fixed, insider trading "risk" suffered as a result of the company executives' alleged illegal acts. Are you in collusion with the company or its executives? Please tell us why would you say such a thing as you posted above?

We need lawsuits against all the CEO’s because they are enriching themselves over people and patients. People need care and insurance companies are overcharging patients as well as hospitals. And they put cancer patients in collections when they can’t pay the bills. We had to beg two hospitals for financial aid because we couldn’t pay the bills even with insurance! The bills are more than the insurance pays!

Thank you for publishing this. From the moment I read about the shooting, I knew something nefarious was up. The truth will always come out in one form or another. 👍 🌞

This is all very interesting but a smidgen too apologetic for my tastes. We all know how the system works. Here's a clearer perspective.

I read your post and Ken's post. Ken does provide more details. I don't know if I'd call it context personally wrt the murder, however, it is information about Brian which is fair.

I wish you were able to not just spew hyperbole and actually add to the discussion with your post. It devolved into anti-semitism where there wasn't any readily witnessed anti-semitism to begin with due to the video evidence.
