If I understand the numbers at https://fiscaldata.treasury.gov/americas-finance-guide/federal-spending/ correctly, more than half of federal income tax is spent on defense related matters.

And those are the numbers we know about.

Just goes to show, tell one lie, and the next will soon follow it.

Only housewives - and hopeully very few of them too - believed even for a second that it was anything but a Chinese weather balloon gone astray.

But there is NO WAY the Establishment can admit they used it as a psyop.

So the lie must be maintained, and now a 1/3rd of a billion dollars will be poured down into the bottomless sink of zero accountability military corporations profiteering.

The Myth of Infallibility... certainly, no-one will be prosecuted for 'wasting State resources'.

The Stupidity careers ever onwards, and downwards.

I don’t think it was a psyop, the pentagon just screwed up. They’re way less competent than they want you to think

Oh, I don't think it was the US Military.

But wasn't there some political news at the time the Political Office wanted burying? TBH I don't recall what exactly - it's been a perennial problem for this bunch of clowns - the 'Palestine' rail accident maybe? I remember there was SOMETHING that "needed burying in the media" at the time, lol.

Its quite unfortunate for Biden's Team they came in after Trump, and 4 years of non-stop media commentary at how incompetent he was, with examples. When they are a bunch of even worse 'stable genuises' and every example of Trump's incompetence has been roundly beaten by their own.

But I'm fairly sure the Balloon Story was to cover up some other stupidity the neocons had gotten into.

"Not a single official resigned over this media spectacle so embarrassing that it derailed a planned trip to China by Secretary of State Antony Blinken." Maybe that's not a bad thing given how he's handling the Middle East.
