Re the base in Jordan. What a thing to do to risk US national security - place "permanent" US bases all over the place so that any one of them can be a tripwire to virtually automatic US involvement without any deliberation. We are setting ourselves up for disaster on a moment's notice.

The more I consider what I said above, the more I think the "tripwire" is intentional, indicating a US posture of "bring it on" and is similar to what Israel is doing in attacking on all fronts, challenging all comers because it knows that US power is backing it unconditionally. The US is similarly slapping the face of Russia by proxy with Ukraine which we now know was preceded by the US nixing any negotiations with Russia when Zelenskyy was open to it in the beginning. It invites counterforce, revealing an eagerness for it. This kind of arrogance from both countries armed to the teeth does not bode well for the future. It comes from a feeling of being all powerful, a kind of international bullying, face slapping like the bully in the schoolyard would do while saying, "gonna take it? Come on, do something!" There is a word for this: warmongering.

Elections: why don’t elections match up the Social Security number against the physical vote? The Social Security number is unique to one person and only one person. The system knows if voter is alive or dead; at least this would eliminate dead people from voting.
