This is about regime change under the cover of a nuclear threat that does not exist. Did these clowns pay attention to Iraq, Libya and Syria? A failed Iranian nation-state will not bring stability to the region. This is madness.

They want for Iran what they want for the Russian Federation. If they can't install a pliant mandarin leadership, they are almost as happy with balkanizing the country/federation into a bunch of warring statelets and tribal factions, thus delivering chaos. Exactly the Libya and Iraq and Syria outcomes, to differing degrees. That would not only open up a chunk of China and Russia's underbelly, but it would kick off a decade of military/intelligence contracting opportunities for the MIC and Wall Street.

"he answered totally out of character that he didn’t want to talk about that"

^reminds me of when the President declined to make any public comments while the January 6 protests were escalating.

What odd moments to choose to say nothing publicly! Not even a covfefe

Despite the attempt of Thomas Massie and a few others to shut this down, I’m willing to bet that most of Congress supports war with Iran. Look no further than what Schumer said the other day when he mocked Trump for backing off his threat to Iran. Getting Congressional approval for going to war is so last century.

I can’t shake this constant feeling of dread since last Thursday when I feared Israel would strike Iran, then didn’t—that night. Now that I see us on the precipice & I feel as I did waiting for the bombs to strike Baghdad after months of massive demonstrations against. There’s no way Iran will surrender, as this country, ancient with millennia of history as an intact nation, is not built this way. We are incapable of invading, let alone holding anything in Iran regardless of how the people feel about their government; they will unite in resistance. The regime change gang may have their fever dreams but such fantasies are just that. It appears that Khamenei, a careful measured leader, has been pressured by the more hardline governmental actors to act & I hope beyond hope they/we don’t decide to assassinate him. That would be truly devastating.

Right?! And right now the executive branch and legislature are controlled by the same party, I would think they'd want to cover their butts by breaking *fewer* laws quite so explicitly

Are there other wars that we may not have heard about/realized we(US) participated in? I'm learning about this stuff and have been reading a ton, but being this close to it this time around kinda hard to see a good comparison (idk if that makes sense).

Israel has been crying wolf for over a decade regarding Iran developing a nuclear weapon. The motivation, imo, is to continually feed the military industrial complex. Perpetual war to enrich corporations. Disgusting

There certainly would seem to be a need for regime change, just, perhaps, not in the places some people are talking about.

Our military budget is out of control, and wars feed the beast, so we have to have wars. We had an opportunity to unload this ball and chain [Financial and military help to Israel] when Bibi turned out to be so murderous that he was condemned by the International Court for Crimes against Humanity. But no.

Even though we are breaking our own Laws [Leahy Laws] in helping a nation that seeks genocide, Congress didn't budge.

We have never been honest in that conflict: We have always supported Israel, no matter who was the head of State here or there. And supported them in billions and billions, every year!

Since its founding in 1948, the United States has provided Israel with over $310 billion in total economic and military assistance. This makes Israel the largest cumulative recipient of U.S. foreign aid. Adjusted for inflation, the total aid since 1951 is estimated to be $317.9 billion, according to USAFacts. WHY?

Hey, Elon, are you still looking for Waste, Fraud and Abuse?
