How is the World Cup going to happen this summer in the US? How?

Obviously the FIFA Peace Prize trophy was money well spent!

From France: I am sure the spineless EU members will come.

The World Cup is never going to happen in the USa Tine for all the teams to officially boycott Let’s put 2026 in the rear view mirror and move on

The ban is for immigrant visas. Tourist visas OK (as for FIFA WC).

But that just shows how little sense it is--One who wanted could get a tourist visa, then stay. Of course, we are a lot less hospitable to foreigners in 2.0 Land.

21 countries from this Visa ban list have either qualified or are still competing in playoffs for the World Cup.

Bahamas? Vietnam and Cambodia?? I mean, I don't get it about the other countries either, but those seem like outliers. All in all just another racist policy and another distraction from Epstein files.

A cascading descent of policies to wreak havoc on our country and the world!

I don't know about you Kimber......but Americans were screaming for immigration control?

DAVID KRAMER's avatar

Lolz if you think that's what this is.

They have gone way too far in their actions. They closed the border. Now what's needed is congress to implement better flow through the immigration system. Equally the gop and admin need to quit screaming immigration. Truly that is how the collective got sold the story. They are now adding to the problems not solving them. As for immigrants, unless your native American, suspect you or your ancestry are immigrants. My immigrants would be turning over in their Graves, after they experienced the horrors in Eastern Europe. We need to get the rage out and choose from a place of power with not power over.

Who woulda thunk it when the top advisor in the White House is a bald headed pastey faced Zionist racist graduate of the Birthright Israel indoctrination program.

I’ve run out of words. But this doesn’t surprise me. It will be interesting to see what happens with international sports. But if I were an athlete from one of these countries, I wouldn’t dream of coming to the U.S., even if I were given an exemption for a competition. If I ruled the world, I’d ban the U.S. from the Winter Olympics next month.

Carol Draizen's avatar

Singlehandedly trump is going to ruin the Copa Mundial, plus the Olympics & imagine trying to celebrate 250 years of existence as a country with anything other than grief. I’ve heard that hundreds of thousands of people have already cancelled their Copa tickets because who in their right mind wants to come here.

What "Public benefits?"

This shows the ill educated mind of the USA

Has the destruction of the Statue of Liberty been scheduled? The U.S. has become a pig country run by pigs. The decline continues.

I'm confused about the "immigrant visa" label. Does this also affect travel visas?

RRafiringa's avatar

To be fair, this doesn't change existing immigration policy and rather prods for a more vigorous enforcement. No one from Africa for example can immigrate to the US temporarily without showing sufficient proof that they will return to their country of origin. If applying to be legal permanent resident, the visa applicant needs to prove among other things that they will not be a charge to the US government, either by showing that they have enough money saved, or have secured employment in the US that pays sufficiently to exclude them from means tested benefits, or they have an Affidavit of Support from one or multiple sponsors who can guarantee by showing proof of employment and tax return that they have enough income to support the applicant for a number of years.

Repulsive. And also literally so.
