Totally. Still can’t believe he risked the border and democracy thinking voters were fine with genocide in Gaza and he can continue on with business as usual as if it won’t impact the elections like Humphrey who didn’t acknowledge Vietnam till October only to disappoint Johnson!
The Olympics are a beautiful event that should bring all the people of the earth together. Just as I don’t agree with all of my governments, actions and policies, I hope that we will separate leaders’ policies from the people in their countries. Netanyahu had very poor ratings in Israel prior to October 7. I think we can disagree with a country’s actions without being hateful towards all Israelis, Russians, etc…
The early debate didn’t help Trump. The Democrats knew of Biden’s delinquency as it wasn’t improving. By October, Biden’s foibles are no longer an issue, Kamala is more seasoned, and the Democrats can neatly put all the bad stuff into Biden’s candy jar and shield Kamala Harris.
Kamala Harris is not qualified for President but the Trump haters don’t care... as long as Trump is defeated they don’t care who is President and those voters will vote no matter what.
She and JD Vance share the same drawback... being a Senator doesn’t automatically make you a “seasoned knowledgeable” Politician. She introduced over 70 bills, not any of them went to the floor for a vote and only one of her bills had language in another Senator’s bill. Her bills were basically a “sheep dipping process”. Public lands, Minority specific bills, voting rights, pandemic minorities pay, renters pandemic relief, classification of immigrants detained... less than a handful of introductions had a broad spectrum of impact. She lacked inclusiveness, she focused “racist” bills. What I mean by “racist” is that the bills didn’t address the problem of why she had to introduce them, in short, her bills gave monies/relief for a targeted group and nobody else... instead of fixing the issue. There was extremely little “across the aisle” sponsored bills, she was being groomed as a narrow-minded (focused) politician and not a bringing together multiple differences.
Biden should resign and Harris take over. Win-win for the American people because old Joe is declining and shouldn't be in the oval office, while giving Harris a chance to show herself in action would benefit the voters. But American politics is timidity. Look good as much as possible and avoid any actions that might offend donors.
No. Biden should NOT resign. Speaker the Twit/Twat Mike Johnson says Republicans plan to sue. The party of the noxious degenerates always plays the whining in the sandbox role. The level of immaturity and lack of sophistication is a stain on our country.
Probably not Kamala's fault, but she is geopolitically crippled by previous blunders and a display of geographic and linguistic ignorance. Is Kamala Harris the person to face Raisi's replacement or an intense discussion with MBS about BRICS blockchain future? Not that Biden is, but she misspeaks, and eyebrows raise at her lack of experience. Would Kamala benefit by Joe's resignation? Maybe, but what does America stand to gain by more political snafus.
Michael Moore stated the same view, but his reasons are feeble compared to Ken's. Basically Moore is a hard left purist who thinks jettisoning Hitler-adjacent Joe will rally the Faithful to defeat actual-Hitler.
I'm not sure. It seems to be a general problem with Substack right now. A number of my subscriptions keep turning themselves off. I don't think it's your stack specifically.

Kamala is going to plummet to Joe numbers the minute she opens her mouth.
The cringe burns.
Between “Biden should resign now” and “she’s a DEI hire” it is clear that they haven’t got a single attack of substance on Harris at this time.
We can seize the moment to take a small step for Palestinian human rights. Ask the IOC to ban Israel from the Olympics https://support.olympics.com/hc/en-gb/requests/new

How about China for the genocide of the Uyghurs?

Blinken says it’s still happening.
I will look into this! Thanks for letting me know!
I think you and I see the outcome of this being different. However, I do agree we should see her in action. Biden should step down.

A former senator and VP seems like good prep for POTUS to me, why do you think harris isn't qualified?

This is an interesting history lesson on Kamala’s rise in politics.
The GOP Congress would never pass it and it would have to go through them.
Good riddance political hack.

Interesting, what did Moore say?
Why do I keep getting Unsubscribed? This is probably the best Stack I follow.
Strange, what seems to be the issue? Am I getting sent to spam?

The immigrants I see here in the midwest are from Venezuela so I, like you, wondered at it not being on the list.
