"There’s no reason to believe foreign influence has or ever will alter the outcome of an election," I'm not sure I believe this, given that AIPAC has influenced the outcome of multiple elections. One would have to believe that they are either lying about their impact, and I'd call Paul FIndley, Jamal Bowman, and Cori Bush, as witnesses to testify that this is exactly what happened, or you'd have to believe that Israel doesn't have the first and final say about who and what AIPAC supports. Or, I guess you could claim Israel isn't actually a foreign country, which, perhaps, has the most going for it.

Talk about the pot calling the kettle black, the US interferes in more elections than any other government on the planet, and if the US preferred candidate loses the CIA will stage a coup to “correct” that. Iran, Chile, and Ukraine are but a few examples that come to mind. As a few others have noted, it’s AIPAC and Israel that are the real influencers of our elections.
