The Gestapo comment is spot on.

You should set up an AirBnB, so the FBI doesn't have to keep travelling to interview you.

Temps in DC are in the low 90s, humidity almost the same, and must feel 10x worse wearing all that gear.

Having been in the Nat’l Guard, bullshit is the only thing there is to do.

It’s also mostly college aged kids doing a 4 year bid since it pays for full state university tuition during the enlistment.

The Ukraine leak a few years back was a 22 yr old. The “gestapo” remark and the sighing resignation scream zoomer.

Also, who the heck is in the DC National guard? Like, 100 people? Will have to check that out.

The second major violation of the Posse Comitatus Act in the last six months & this particular frog thinks the pot is getting too hot! He’s normalizing the theater in front of us so we begin to accept seeing troops on our streets. Thanks, I didn’t even know that the colonial status of DC was worse than Puerto Rico, which had been my previous “most colonized” standard of measurement. It’s also probably an inherently racist act because the city was built & maintained by slaves & too many “woke” Black folks remain—hence its historical colonial status. Washington elites have long said no to embracing populations of color—no adding of “them” voluntarily. I find this new illegal episode very worrying & it must be resisted. He cannot be allowed to keep getting away with violating our rights—bit by bit. Since 11/24, I’ve been having nightmares about the Weimar Republic.

As an aside, however, I hope they find lodging, food & showers for these soldiers—unlike the conditions they endured in LA. But since, of course, they probably don’t have clear orders other than stand uncomfortably, leaning on the shields, in full uniform in DC humidity, shift their feet & sigh, as in LA.

Has anyone in the press pool asked him who he’s supporting in 2028 for president or where the new photos of Hunter’s hawg are? I don’t think we will like the answer to either.

Let's call the D.C. deployment what it is - the Jeffrey Epstein Memorial Military Deployment.

Let's name every Trump initiative with those same first three words.

Jeffrey Epstein Memorial Nuclear Sub Deployment

Jeffrey Epstein Memorial Tariff Taco

Jeffrey Epstein Memorial Ballroom

Jeffrey Epstein Memorial Statistics Day

Jeffrey Epstein Memorial Putin Meeting

Jeffrey Epstein Memorial Tim Cook Tribute Day

Jeffrey Epstein Memorial Friendship Day

Hoping that this is just performative, like a pro wrestling match. As this administration behaves more and more dystopian, it will be important to hear how our military is viewing these orders. Thanks, Ken, for staying accessible to your sources. We the people want to know what they think of this.

It’s a WOFTAM, LARPING by the heel spur in chief, Pammy trying to look like the Tri Delt she was at UF. She’s a dognapper (Go Gators) and Hegseth with white knuckles, waiting to get that Hair of the dog that bites him every day. I loved the way our troopers shuffled during his “parade.” No way they could have done that without their superiors permission. Oh yeah bury the lede. Epstein who?

I think you buried the lede here. The widespread discontent is shocking. (Drudge rewrote the headline, correctly).

So, when do we suppose the questionable morality (or even legality) of a given deployment outweighs the need of a pay-check?

Yes - under Title 10 the president has authority to federalize a state’s national guard without the governor’s consent (but only under certain conditions)
