Lol I dare someone try to arrest and charge me for a boycott! Lmao I canceled Prime, so can Amazon get me charged for far left terrorism? I stopped buying nestle products back in 2015 - do they have a case? That's close to 12 years of far left terrorism against nestle.

What a fucking idiot.

Anyone to the left of Trump, Netanyahu and Hitler are now "Far Left Terrorists." Sign me up!

Which is the more prevalent global threat, the far-left or the far-right? This caught my eye: "closing the visa pathways that far-left terrorists and other aligned groups could exploit to threaten American lives, undermine economic stability, and coordinate violent actions on U.S. soil.” Trump and his DHS/ICE/CBP thugs routinely threaten American lives, Trump's Iran War and tariff madness jeopardize the economy, and his entire Regime coordinates violent actions on US soil. We're in the Twilight Zone.

The clowns in this clown show are surreal. Kafka didn't have this kind of material. It would be funny if the clown show wasn't the United States government.

A really cute picture of little Marco in an oversized chair. It immediately reminded me of Lily Tomlin dressed as 5 1/2 year old baby Edith Ann on Laugh-In.

As a linguist, though I am annoyed by nonsense.

Is Marco Rubio (whose maternal language is Spanish) determined to imitate most MAGA in confusing nouns and adjectives.

"Ministerial", as well as "democratic", are ADJECTIVES. they describe a NOUN.

"Ministry" and "Democrat" are the corresponding NOUNS.

“Ministerial on the Resurgence of Political Terrorism.” is a word salad: The title is nonsensical. The preposition "on" is awkward at best. A Ministry, if that's what he meant is an institution. It cannot be "on" anything

I think he means "Ministry against the resurgence of political terrorism".

Worded that way, it's almost acceptable, and if such is the case, I wish he would include far RIGHT terrorism as embodied by ICE

I think he meant Ministry of Truth, but FLT, has fewer letters, so he went with that.

More subtle but in a way even funnier for that: "The United States has observed. . . ".

They really don’t like the lefties, huh, Ken.

Cécile Stelzer-Johnson's avatar

Dang: My uncle is missing his right hand. That makes him a "leftie" automatically. I'll have to warn him against Marco. LOL

we don't even have a left in the US

Marian Rich's avatar

Ain't that the truth? Even the NYC-DSA is bowing down to the Democratic Party leadership in coming out AGAINST open primaries, even though every other major municipality holds nonpartisan elections. Sigh. So sold out to the Democratic Party it is sickening.

Only consolation is that Rubio is such an airhead. In other respects he is just a tepid 21st century reincarnation of J. Edgar Hoover, Joseph McCarthy, and the Dulles brothers, among whose terrorist nemeses were "Fighting" Bob La Follette, Martin Luther King, Malcolm X and the Kennedy brothers.

Marian Rich's avatar

Sadly yes - where are our "fighters" now? Who are they? Luigi? LOL

I think I sort of nodded off in the paragraph that lists, "members of far-left terrorist and other aligned groups..." since it didn't apply to me. But then I remembered that I knew someone who stole a street sign! So I admit that I may have, at some point in my misbegotten youth, "participated in economic sabotage including against public and private property." Oh no!

Ministerial....which timeline are we on right now?

It does code sorta Man In The High Castle, eh

A government that actually prioritizes public safety, and not just creating scapegoats, doesn't need to specify which flavors of terrorism are against the law.

“Ministerial on the Resurgence of Political Terrorism” immediately brings to mind Monty Python’s “Minister of Silly Walks”. And I pronounce FLT, “flit”. So Rubio et al. have launched a war on me as a card-carrying Flitter. Or perhaps I’m just a Litter; I’m not sure how far left I reach. And I know things are serious when I hear the word HOMELAND.

None of this is funny, btw, and I keep reminding myself that Marco Rubio was unanimously approved by our vaunted U.S. Senate.

Thank you, Ken.

Marian Rich's avatar

It might not be "funny" I get that. AND using our humor is one way to mental health in this godforsaken moment in human history. As per Mel Brooks and Charlie Chaplin - ridicule annoys them. Sometimes, I have to laugh. I don't know what else to do! I love the analogy to Minister of Silly Walks, that works for me. Thank you, Susan & Ken!

Susan Becraft's avatar

Marian, the ability to laugh continues to keep me sane. Imagine what George Carlin would have to say if he were still with us!

Marian Rich's avatar

Indeed. We just rewatched Judd Apatow’s wonderful documentary. How about Richard Pryor?!

Susan Becraft's avatar

Richard Pryor is another gem.

Agree. And they should be!

100% agree. These stupid citizens who think no harm will come to them.

All of you can watch whilst BROWN/BLACK citizens are arrested.

Look at the RIDICULOUS World Cup.

How many citizens (black) who play for European teams.????????????

Yet here we are in France........busy busy complaining about immigrants!

Ken: I would like you to look at who is supporting Le Pen in these coming elections..........Elon Musk.

He has supported Le Pen. Death to FN

The French hate Elon Musk! Marine Le Pen shivering in her dainty shoes.
