I feel like we’ve been thrown back to 1984 (the book), where day is night & they are on a major campaign to get us to believe that antifa is an organized movement funded by shrouded millionaires. Anyone who has been a regular protester (me for decades) knows that antifa consists of guys who show up to block/protest when groups of racists or neo-nazis stage a provocation. They’re not organized in the sense of a union, a group with structure (or dues, meetings with agendas,) etc.; they are organized in their opposition, however. I don’t think MAGA got the bang from their buck they expected from the killing of Kirk (perhaps too many people began to read the ugly things he had long said or couldn’t square the muddied narrative). Desperate for a justification, they’ve decided to try convincing enough people that antifa—& by extension, protesters, are a danger requiring repression. We’ll see Saturday how many people we can bring to the streets, in the hopes of slowing them down & representing our anger & disgust.

America has ignored history and the lessons it offers.

This country was once united by anti-fascism. Our victory in the Second World War was among our species' most proudest moments. How quickly the memory fades of why so many people fought, suffered, and died.

We were warned in its aftermath, in no uncertain terms, of what would happen if we failed to protect civil liberties. https://www.vexplode.com/en/tedx/american-authoritarianism-and-restoring-constitutional-order-shahid-buttar-tedxharkerschool/

Today's witch-hunt targeting anti-fascists is only possible because of the bipartisan fetish for executive power that has united Washington over the past generation. It pains me to witness how many Democrats have been repeatedly complicit with the right wing. https://shahidbuttar.substack.com/p/trumps-arbitrary-assassinations-were

I wonder what the Trump administration is going to do if its very public investigation reveals that, against all odds, anarchists might not be all that into centralized organizations.

About "following the money" take a look at what Larry Ellison has been doing with his money. Take a look at what AIPAC has been doing for decades with its money. Take a look at Leslie Wexner and his money being used to set Jeffrey Epstein up in high style. Most of all, get everything out about Epstein and follow his money.

This gang that is the Trump cabinet is not only ignoring the fact that liberty and justice for all is the antithesis of Zionism, it is doing the work of Zionism, with Hamas, Hezbollah, etc. that have no presence in the US always being mentioned as the height of evil. Trumpism is all about oppression and punishment of political views that should be of no interest to our government, covered as they are by our freedom of speech.

We fought a civil war to get rid of slavery, but a tiny ethnic cleansing state with 1/40th of our population that rejects liberty and justice for all has essentially taken over American politics and turned the government against we the people.

It should be our top priority to break the grip of Zionism on America and Zionists such as Ellison are in a panic now as popular support of Israel is tanking. AIPAC money has bought Congress for many years, but will the direct spending on buying up media (CBS, TikTok, etc.) be able to turn back the collapse of Israel's support in light of the slaughter in Gaza exposing Zionism for what it is and has been all along?

I hope everyone will be out demonstrating Saturday on No Kings Day, episode 2. I will be there flying my Palestinian flag with two signs.

Sign 1 reads: "Bloody Israel Mass Killing is only possible with US support. FELLOW CITIZENS, where is your SHAME? Liberty and Justice for ALL"

Sign 2 reads: "America is Bought by Zionism. Trump is the Proof. Break the Grip of Zionism. Liberty and Justice for ALL"

“Not believing that Antifa doesn’t have an overall organizational structure, the Trump administration is now setting out to find one” This is as Orwellian as it gets. Trump’s merry band of idiots are going to manufacture an organization then start arresting people who have done nothing more than stating their opinions and seizing assets from wealthy donors who support political views that they don’t like.

Yep, been waiting for this. The real target has always been the funders. Not the funders of antifa, of course - signs and flyers don't cost much, and those have always been anonymously crowd-funded. This is about making a few examples of foundations and rich individuals to (1) scare anyone with money to lose into not supporting any group or candidate Trump might dislike, and (2) provide grounds to attack and destroy any nonprofit organizations that promote civil society.

Trump has been aggressively going after anything that could ever serve as an alternate locus of political power - universities, cities, law firms, corporations, any ethnic communities. It is now the turn of nonprofits. And combined with his changes to IRS, a signal that any rich person who doesn't fall into line will be targeted.

The actual protesters on the street will still be violently attacked, but they aren't the real target.

Jim Stewartson (The Antifa Experience: Miller’s Immersive Horror for Trump):

"In the White House [last] Wednesday, Stephen Miller created a parallel immersive horror experience for one person, Donald Trump. It was officially called the 'Antifa Roundtable' and involved a dozen or so far-right provocateurs and prominent members of Trump’s cabinet constructing a vivid, frightening tale of a massive terrorist conspiracy aligned against his regime..."

I can't help but notice how apt a description of the J6 insurrection is contained in the below paragraph:

NATIONAL SECURITY PRESIDENTIAL MEMORANDUM/NSPM-7

“Section 2. Investigating Domestic Terrorist Organizations (h) The Attorney General shall issue specific guidance that ensures domestic terrorism priorities include politically motivated terrorist acts such as organized doxing campaigns, swatting, rioting, looting, trespass, assault, destruction of property, threats of violence, and civil disorder."

According to VOAnews.com, “The storming of the Capitol drew extremists that included adherents of the QAnon conspiracy theory, the far-right group the Proud Boys, militiamen, white supremacists, anti-maskers and diehard Trump supporters, all gathered to stop Congress from certifying President-elect Joe Biden’s victory.”

And doesn't the below paragraph apply? Logically speaking, action is needed:

NATIONAL SECURITY PRESIDENTIAL MEMORANDUM/NSPM-7

"Section 2. Investigating Domestic Terrorist Organizations (i) The Secretary of the Treasury (Secretary), in coordination with the Attorney General, shall make available all resources, to the maximum extent permitted by law, to identify and disrupt financial networks that fund domestic terrorism and political violence. The Secretary, acting through the Terrorism and Financial Intelligence Office of the Department of the Treasury, shall deploy investigative tools, examine financial flows, and coordinate with partner agencies to trace illicit funding streams. The Secretary shall provide guidance for financial institutions to file Suspicious Activity Reports and investigate indicia of illicit funding streams to ensure such activity is rooted out at the source and referred for law enforcement action..."
