Well, after all, it has long been treated as capital crime for people outside our borders to put their own interests above the interests of American businesses.

And that always boomerangs back home.

How many thousands of people did we kill just in Central and South America for having the audacity of wanting to charge market rates for fruit and oil?

God forbid you try try and use your nations natural wealth to feed, house and educate your populace.

All of these raise the price of labor, and for that the sentence is, at the very least, a brutal coup to install a brutal US business friendly autocrat - which, of course, comes with a statistically significant chance of being murdered by CIA trained/funded death squads/secret police.

Isn't this to be expected in our democracy of lobbies?

Owners of AI data centers, proposed centers, apps, programs, labs, don't bother to suggest that AI might take our jobs one day. They have told us that this will happen almost as if it was destiny, rather than another nail they are pounding into the coffins of citizens/workers of America. And Congress members have largely pulled a Susan Collins, wringing their hands in sympathy while aiding the smug bastards. For money.

Platner will end that.

The very fact that Congress is turning its eyes against opponents of data centers proves the point that large data centers should not be allowed to exist.

Data is POWER. I know I will never have access to that power, and the lengths they are going to in order to make sure that they happen clearly shows that "someone" wants them built really bad!

Ask yourself why? what will the owners of this data (Government or corporations) do with this enormous power?

You know that We The People will not be able to use them to OUR advantage.

Government will be better able to pigeon hole us and rig maps much better. Corporations will be able to target us for ads and make it impossible to "opt out". They are already selling our information and targeting us. With these data centers, that power will be multiplied many times until we are hog tied and have no freedoms left.

The 'choices' they will give us will all be rigged to make us accept their version of what we should be allowed to have and to do.

That is a frightful future opening in front of us...
