I left this comment on another writer’s Substack. It certainly applies here.

Sir our actions pertaining to Israel will not gain favorability with any Islamic country nor most of the world. We are putting our troops in a position that is precarious and indefensible. At the moment our actions are giving Iran the upper hand and the most important thing, “The Moral High Ground”. I care not what this administration says because they have failed, Afghanistan, Ukraine, Yemen and most importantly not calling for a ceasefire in Gaza. I am so disappointed because all that is being accomplished is the making of more freedom fighters. Yes you might call them terrorist but I see Viet-Minh, people fighting for their own freedom and country. Now is the for America to reflect and understand our policies are much worse than George lll forced upon the settlers of the New World.

I wish the USA would get the hell out of the Middle East. It has no business being there.

I think a lot of Americans agree with you and that's why there's so much secrecy around U.S. military activity in the region

I spoke with an Iraq War veteran recently who said a contractor friend of his asked if he was interested in going back to the Middle East for good money since October 7th happened. He said it wasn't worth it to him to go back, he was pretty fucked up from the war, but it just goes to show that wherever the bullets are flying, overpaid contractors and other war profiteers can make a good buck on the death and suffering. Seems hard to keep things from spiraling out of control when that's where the money is.

Yup, lots of Us military contracts popping up since Oct 7. I wrote about this here: https://theintercept.com/2023/12/11/tiktok-military-contractor-recruiting-israel/

It should be the top priority of news outlets to find out in what countries in the Middle East we are carrying out strikes on "others" in the area. Is this not an act of war killing "others" from our bases over there somewhere who knows where. WHERE? PLEASE!

I am not convinced about Jordan being a liar, it’s certainly more advantageous for the US to have the incident occur in a country where we were invited albeit not announced. I think the world is getting wary of the US inviting itself into sovereign states without a visa or passport.

And here you play the same non naming story and blame the "media".

I thought Jordan said it didn’t happen there, has there been any confirmation outside US officials saying so?

Jordan is home to a large Palestinian population that would be furious to learn details of its govt's cooperation with the US, so I think the Jordanian gov't is lying.

Do you think Biden the ghoul will try to “manufacture consent” for more US military aggression or try to force it out of the news cycle until after the election?

A major regional war in the middle eastwould be so devastating to the global economy that I don't think Biden actually wants that. Doesn't mean his policies aren't hastening it, though.
