When all you have is a hammer, everything looks like a nail.

When all you have are extra enforcement agents, everything looks like it needs to be enforced.

Also, what happens when arrests are down less than 50 per day? We still have 10s of thousands of ice agents that are still employed? 80,000 detainee beds? Are we still going to be paying for all of that?!?! This is fucking ridiculous!

Then they start going after the dissidents, the creatives, the homeless, the vulnerable. Felon 45 didn’t build up ICE for immigration. It’s for population control.

I am sure they will find something to do to validate their being on the payroll. That is, perhaps, the scariest part of all.

HHS just mandated that Hospitals and clinics will not get reimbursed for treating undocumented patients. Instead they're supposed to let them bleed out in the street like our friends the Zionists do when they shoot Muslims and Christians in the occupied areas. This smells like a Steven Miller brainstorm .

That famous artwork of westward expansion combined with "defending the homeland"? Westward expansion wasn't defense it was ethnic cleansing.

Why is there never a problem getting men to dress up in high-tech hardware and uniforms and now to mask up as well to be tough on helpless people?

I was having coffee at a Dunkin the other day and along comes a city police car - all black with "SPECIAL OPS" on the side. This is pure military and the patrolmen and women are no longer wearing a white shirt and tie but are decked out with all kinds of gadgets all in black with POLICE printed on the back of their uniform. It's as if the whole force is part of a SWAT team. Far from anyone being Officer Friendly, the impression is pure intimidation. A long way from appearing to be just another person with a police hat on, now an officer can be spotted a mile away and the look doesn't invite approach, far less saying hello.

When these people 'blurred and masked' come for American Citizens what is the chance they turn against their Government?

The ONLY reason we have immigrants in the Western world is because western powers wanted their resources. This is about money. Nothing less.

This stuff is evidenced in the vibe and countenance of these goons. I believe they’ll have a hard time recruiting, even with cash incentives. They themselves feel the wrongness, I see that and feel that. Especially now with the Epstein cover up ongoing

The Epstein Horror and Russia-gate immense crimes are indeed horrible and require full analysis and punishment. However, right now nothing compares with Gaza genocide and the Final Solution phase of seven decades of terror and ethnic cleansing of Palestinians.

This is US genocide and now -- it is fully conducted and owned by Trump. As China’s foreign minister said: "The United States has lost its legitimacy to lead the world …. It is no longer morally qualified to speak of values or peace while supporting genocide in Gaza."

WE are actually in contravention of our own laws in defending Netanyahu:

The Leahy Laws are two provisions in US law that prohibit the US government from providing assistance to foreign security force units credibly implicated in gross violations of human rights. These laws, named after Senator Patrick Leahy, aim to prevent US complicity in human rights abuses by foreign militaries and other security forces. One provision applies to assistance provided by the Department of State, and the other to assistance from the Department of Defense.

The MAGA base has no problem with immigration raids - this is not going to be the undoing of this regime. Trust me, they will squirm a bit when the “good” immigrants they know are rounded up and shipped out, then wring their hands like Sen. Susan Collins after a SCOTUS decision that proves she was duped, and just mutter about what a shame it is their neighbor didn’t do things the “right” way.

But the Epstein stuff? Hahaha, that will be the end for them. No one is more righteously dedicated to the cult “mission” than MAGA. This will hollow out the base from inside, as the cult disembowels itself. Cults have a predictable trajectory. This was expected.

More immediately, yes, the Epstein scandal is more important because the MAGA base is collapsing and Trump is getting more and more confused and shows that he is unable to be coherent.

But after Trump is gone, there will be a lot of work to reclaim our country and make it the shining beacon on the Hill again!. I hope we have another President like Abe Lincoln, or Franklin Delano Roosevelt...

Is it going to take that many agents to flag and redact the President's name over everything that's going pear shape?

Kidding aside: Yes, he has lost a lot of support over the Immigration problem, but that is really a failure of the whole of Congress to come up with a law that would be fair. Fair to Dreamers, fair to refugees, fair to the country.

Right now, the Epstein scandal is capturing the entire country, MAGAs included. Maybe because it is prurient and disgusting and more easy to understand than tariffs, but they rightfully feel betrayed.

On a more intellectual level, yes, immigration will continue to be a headache for Trump [but it's also a headache for Dems].

Dems need to take the bull by the horns so to speak and really offer something that can be palatable to both sides.

Republicans are terrified that all these immigrants, if they are forgiven, will be able to vote, and they will remember family separation and Alligator Alcatraz.

As a Green card holder, I have a solution: allow the children of undocumented people to become American citizens but punish the parents [who really are the only ones who sinned against our laws], and take away the ability to bring in more than just the close family.

Since they may have children, allow them to stay in the country and work, but with a green card with a big red A on it that will prevent them from becoming voters. [The big red A will appeal to Republicans, I'm sure!]

Those who come in as refugees, do the same: Card and fingerprint while they are going through the courts to see if they are refugees or not. [You could have a big R on their card so we all know they entered as refugees. [Republicans will like the big R]

Once their case is adjudicated, give them either a green card or deport them to the country of their choice.

As soon as an undocumented person come in, photograph and fingerprint them, just like you do for all green card holder. They should be able to get a driver's license so they are not a danger to other motorists and so they can work. NOW you know who they are, where they live, and if they commit crimes, you can nab them and deport them.

Another thing: Double or triple the number of Immigration Judges at the Border. the lack of Immigration judges is the reason why there is such a backlog! work on the backlog!

Private prisons must not exist: they cut corners to make a profit and end up mistreating folks who may not even be criminals. Plus they cost us all an enormous amount of money

Just my 2 cents worth, but consider it as a starting phase and keep adding ideas to this sketchy start.

This will not be solved by Congress. We will have to push legislators to do it and do it right!

Offer new ideas and push for them!
