Tempel ov Blood

How do you NOT put an umlaut on one of those o's?

A "nihilistic extremist" sounds like someone who only reads Nietzsche while wearing black clothes in a black room under black light.

If life itself is meaningless, what's the point bothering to learn that Alt + 0214 = Ö / Alt + 0246 = ö?

Oh great—the right has learned a new word! Hopefully they will include a definition with their propaganda. However, since so few people might know what it means, it becomes another buzzword whose meaning can be conveniently twisted into whatever useful definition they have need for as they have successfully used with “antisemitism, terrorist & even Hamas”. And to add to the irony, the Army Threat Integration Center would be more usefully employed in keeping track of their own, as we saw just today with the shooting at Fort Stewart of five soldiers.

"The NVE threat consists of overlapping networks based in Europe, FVEY [Five Eye] countries [Australia, Canada, New Zealand, UK and US], and South America clustered across multiple social media and secure messaging applications."

I'm an Australian, and that's the first I've heard of "NVE" Down Under. Yes, we have a few violent extremists of the neo-Nazi ilk, but neo-Nazis aren't really nihilists, are they?

Seriously: Nihilistic Violent Extremism? Sounds like your police services spent too much time and money studying those idiot thugs in The Big Lebowski.

Does this mean Nihilist Arby's has been added to a federal watchlist or officially designated as NVE?

You’re older than you’ve ever been, younger than you’ll ever be again, and you’re also a pointless biological accident in an entropic void and your sentience literally has zero significance

Eat Arby’s

If they can blame it on nihilism, it can be blamed on an individual. I think the administration is trying to prevent any rise in class consciousness. They saw how many people supported Luigi. Let's just blame it on some depressed folks why don't we.

I disagree with the categorization, but it's probably safe to say that philosophy wasn't the strongest subject in school for most of these LEO types.

And some of the targets just seem like dumb kids cosplaying horror movies.

All that said, some of these groups really are extremely dangerous, and I hope they get taken down. There are groups that encourage teens into self harm and violence, just for grins and giggles... those are the types of groups that could truly be called nihilistic. "Nothing matters, so may as well blow it up." (Which doesn't mean all groups are like that.)

“nihilistic violent extremist” threat category, defining it as “hatred of humanity or society,” in other words, the leaders of all Western capitalist societies, given that they are knowingly pushing humanity (and society) off the environmental cliff at warp speed. It's the greatest crime ever and the greatest one possible, so our government leaders all need to be arrested NOW!

Okay, this is way off topic, but I can't help myself for bringing it up. I just finished watching Taylor Lorenz's video titled The Secret Way Chat GPT is Changing How We Talk and the word delve is one that has crept into our vernacular generated by Chat GPT. Her guest argues that certain words are being used more often in writing generated by Chat GPT and not only coming through in our writing, but also in our conversations. Ken, you used the word "delve" 2 times in this post. OMG are you using Chat GPT? LOL

Can't admit that any violence against those in power has a material basis, so they have to pretend it's just "nothing matters, let's just kill"

764 is probably the most (only?) nihilist group mentioned. Abused teens abusing other teens/minors via internet exploitation.

For all the fear mongering, correct me if I am wrong, but the crime rate has been lower for some time.

As Trump is dismantling government actions that aid we the people, it appears the agencies that frighten people are on a role.

BTW. I asked AI "what has the CIA done that is good?" and the answer was a small group of tech devices that the CIA helped develop with not a single operation or mission mentioned. I don't agree that police should be defunded but I would heartily agree that the CIA should be dismantled for its atrocious history of bringing woe to distant lands and destroying the image of the US in the eyes of the world (Israel putting the final nails in the coffin).
