The media is failing us the same way all 3 branches of government have failed us. They’re only willing to tell the public what they want the public to know in the way they want us to know it. We’ll be voting all of these reps out in due time. How do we do the same with media?
“the punditocracy keeps missing the point by framing this as a partisan battle” I would gently argue that maybe you are missing something here? I think they know exactly what’s going on…EXACTLY. They are desperately trying to stay in control of the narrative and MAKE it about the 2 party system. Shove the 2 party system down everyone’s throats. Which I’d argue they’ve been doing for a long time, they just never had so much opposition to it before. We need to get louder, because it’s clear even they know they’re losing control of the script.
He couldn't admit he fired her so he made up a post for her at another concept of an agency somewhere. Security initiative? WTF does that even mean? I'm thrilled to think I'm about to participate in paying her salary for this.
These sociopaths think they can re-invent reality to their whims on a daily basis. The sad part is that a LOT of the mainstream media rarely even questions it. I can't even count the number of war and other crimes they've committed and yet I've yet to see the term "war crime" - or even "crime" - in any legacy media when describing their actions.
1) Noem gone, all to the good. But Trump will show his Midas touch in selecting personnel, he'll name someone worse to replace her.
2) I don't know if there ever was an era when the media - first the newspapers, then add radio, then television, I'll stop there - ever really fulfilled their journalistic obligations. The Washington Post and Watergate may be one of a handful of courageous instances. But now, fuggehddabouddit, for while the corporate sway of an Alcoa taking Edward R. Murrow on CBS and all that accompanies that, now it's Israel's hasbara strategy being sicced on major newspaper markets here, as well as ABC, CBS, CNN, FOX, NBC, NPR and lower tier entities.
It's been said that fortunately, the younger generation pays no attention to them, maybe there's a ray of hope the slide of this country will be halted. Reversed? I don't think there's time.
I’d be curious as to Ken’s thoughts in maybe a future post. How does the lay person navigate this mess? We aren’t read in or connected. How should people navigate this insane space I wonder?
I hold your reporting in high regard. Ken is a legit. I think there is a lot of people that want to take action that don’t know how. Or, maybe think the normal route is ineffective. Not his role, maybe for the community to discuss?
This insane clown posse of a grifter photo-op Dunning Kruger suffering administration is currently lighting the world on fire. No hyperbole or ad hominem there. It's just the plain, awful truth.
Meanwhile, Ukrainian men are being forced into vans by goons whose uniforms are identical to those of ICE. The tactics are identical too. The (mostly female) people attacking the goons to protect their loved ones from certain death at the front are the same as the protesters attacking ICE.
I live in Minnesota and participated in anti-ICE protests. It's shocking to me that the parallels between our proxy war in Ukraine (and all the other proxy wars we start) is not covered even in the alternative media.
There are exceptions, of course. "Events in Ukraine" is an invaluable source of information and insight on why we're financing the Ukraine war and how bad it's going for us. . . like the Iranian invasion. And why.
Please connect the dots. The U.S. is an empire in its death throes, lashing out against its "enemies" in a last gasp of hegemonic zeal that is bankrupting our country. Why isn't the cost to taxpayers of all this militarism ever mentioned? Why isn't the enormous deficit ever mentioned? Why isn't the multipolarity movement ever mentioned?
This is such a nice perspective to read. Thank you for some optimism, which I don't share yet, but I'm starting to think you're right. (And thanks to the heroes protesting in Minneapolis too.)
Literally the first thing I’ve seen in weeks that isn’t making feel like there is no path forward.
Thank you for acknowledging and encouraging the activism and energy - which desperately need to be elevated.

The revolution will not be televised, but it will be reported on by Ken Klippenstein.
This is so refreshing to read and for me, a much needed pep talk. Thanks Ken!

Fair enough
I love how your reporting never fails to give the benefit of the doubt, truly. I’m just calling it like I see it in the comments 😄
The Shilled of the Americas? Can't imagine.
🎶 No time for losers 🎶
I'm far more pessimistic. I feel like the revolutionary fervor is there, but the revolution itself is nowhere in sight.
FWIW, I'm pretty sure, if there is a real revolution happening, then, best it's not being planned on surveillance R-Us social media.
May she be the first of many

I would say the Minneapolis protesters were a great example. Or the people pushing for the Epstein files.
