Amazing the Richfield police did not write a ticket for fake plates-they are over aggressive and like to write unnecessary tickets! One evening I was a designated driver returning friends to their home in Richfield. I was pulled over by a Richfield wanna be Meal Team 6 driving a combination of Christmas yard lights for a 4th of July parade. The officer informed me that a headlight was out, then proceeded to aggressively give me a DUI test (that I passed). When I told him that he was triggering my PTSD he became more aggressive. I knew that my light was working when I left home, because my car checks the lights when unlocked. In past years Richfield had a program where they paid to fix lights that were out. But instead the ICE wanna be wrote me a $120 citation! Definitely not working to serve the people!

I want to pick up on this closing line, to approach this whole sickening matter from another perspective, though no less sordid. First, this is one of the "I"s in Ray McGovern's formulation of the "MICIMATT,*" the Military-Industrial-Congressional-Intelligence-Media-Academia-Think Tank" complex, ICE/HSI oxymoronically fitting in under "Intelligence." In other words, part of an ever-sprawling, metastasizing, omnipresent organism.
Two, has anyone calculated just how much of the Federal budget, how much of the nation's GDP, in terms of dollars, in terms of personnel, in terms of consuming other resources (e.g., database construction, querying, maintenance) is utterly wasted on and by these buffoons who not only provide absolutely Z-E-R-O in benefit for what they do, and actually result in significant N-E-G-A-T-I-V-E return for what they do, as in illegally maintaining surveillance on people and organizations, violating their Constitutional rights and protections, and of course putting their very lives at risk? This bunch of sociopaths is the leading edge of American's robust, tech enabled economy?
As the saying goes, "Last one out the door shut the lights off." 'Cept by that time the electricity will already have been shut off.

There is a real hatred by capitalists for the left, anything left. The government and both the parties that alternate in running it are united in being capitalist. The now famous Powell Memorandum was a fear for the future of capitalism in America due to the activities of the left during the Vietnam War.
What I think of when I read of yet another agency to crack down on the left is the Frei Corps in Germany. In the early days of Hitler (1920's) fascism was in an outright battle with the communists to the point that there were open street fights with the Frei Corps representing the fascists. The Corps was a collection of thugs what were armed in one way or another and quite eager for a fight.
We haven't reached that point but we are dancing around near it with the significant difference that in contrast to the communists in Germany who were a significant force and ready to engage with the Frei Corps, there is no significant left in the US and certainly not any group that is armed and out to take on the government. Trump has created the "Radical Left" out of thin air but thuggery for capitalism is real and on the hunt disguised by the many agencies that hide it behind pretty icons and logos and now, uniforms.
