The bottom line is the Department of Defense—now more frankly, of War—has been a money pit since the end of WW2. The Pentagon wastes money left and far right, its budget ought to be halved and efficiency made paramount.
Nuclear war means the end so there can be no war with China. Every dollar spent to "meet the threat of China" is wasted money. "Golden Dome" ditto. US Space Force ditto.
I am not too worried about Russia, once the second best military in the world and now the second best military in Ukraine. But they do have a bunch of nukes. India and Pakistan have those too. China is another story.
So what happens when AI gets its greedy little electrons on all these space weapons. SKYNET is just around the corner. And AI's big brother Quantum Intelligence is brewing in the mad scientist electronic incubator.
