The entire U.S. blob is 100% untrustable. If Hamas agrees to this, they are either nuts or an under the table deal for Israel to start funding them again is part of it. Such a thing would be Israel/USA level cynical, but it was going on for a long time before this, and Netenyahu is capable of anything, as is Biden. If the U.S. supplies the $$, Bibi would have at least some plausible deniability. However, unless the funds were given to a Muslim government in advance that Hamas trusts, it would still be nuts to agree to this. If I had to guess, this is just BS leaked by the White House to see if it will play in Peoria.

I don't trust anything Biden has his hand in. Sixty days isn't much.

So Biden won’t support a ceasefire now because he’s working with terrorists & they might give him something he wants? And part of what he wants is a weak sauce 60 day break? And this is supposed to be the lesser evil?

They’re being released to Northern Gaza? Where famine is prevalent and violence is rampant? Definitely not a durable plan…

If Israel was trustworthy, the Palestinian people would be happy and living in their original homes.

How do we get 18 U.S. Code § 1091 enforced? This is the way the US incorporated the Genocide Convention into US domestic law. But someone has to enforce it, and it's unlikely the DOJ will voluntarily make that move. Would there be a way to get a Writ of Mandamus ordering the DOJ to do it? We should all be asking how this step could be accomplished, and whenl we find the way - then do it.

There must be a permanent ceasefire in Gaza in order to comply with the ICJ ruling. Not with Palestinians suffering under oppressive conditions, but as a place where all live with peace and equality. It is time for Pope Francis to do more than talk. He must go to Gaza and make a stand for peace and freedom.

Let us also support UNRWA. If our governments won’t act in accordance with humanity, then we will. https://www.unrwausa.org/donate

These are a few small things we can do. If we can do more, let us do more.

I read that article some time back. I have seen the work that Medea Benjamin and Code Pink have done for some twenty years. I think I'll stick with what has proven to be a meaningful group dedicated to humanity, unlike the New York Times. But thank for the referral.

It's a terrible article. Typical "yellow peril" trash that most of the western media peddles.

Is it clear to everyone else apartheids Israel is done? That it’s been just a matter of how many hundreds of thousands to millions of people will die because of Satayahu & Genocide Joe and the increasing probability of the nuke$.

Follow up question… Insurrectionist Donnie & Genocide Joe are the 2 best outta 330M + 😐?
