"The ultimate goal is to create a watchlist of anti-ICE protestors, which the Trump administration believes are part of an organized network of domestic terrorists." Yes to the first claus, Hell No to the second clause. They know there is no organized network of domestic terrorists and that ordinary Americans are using their First Amendment freedoms to observe and report them, as you reference near the end of this article. That scares them because they know that most of what they do on a daily basis is illegal. Great work on getting that video, Ken. And I love the lady's laughing response with "Are you crazy?"

I’m just crying a lot these days. And filming ICE.

A bit of good news: the government owned INTEL stock is down

If they start arresting and charging people who film ICE as domestic terrorists, they're going to need a much bigger boat. They thought murdering Renee Good would scare people off from protesting, but all it did was create a ton of new protesters. This is the mindset of patriarchy, that the threat of violence and punishment is a deterrent against righteous indignation. More people will film them, and then film them arresting the people who were filming them before. Abusive bootlickers think everyone thinks like they do, that we all worship and crave power, and it will lead to their ultimate downfall.

I suspect that if they arrest folks who film them with their phone, they are hoping to get additional information from the phones they will confiscate.

Remember the phrases:

"I do not consent to be searched.

I do not consent to have my car searched.

I do not consent to have my phone searched

I demand to see a lawyer.

I refuse to speak without my attorney being present.

Am I free to leave? if not:

What is the charge?

I see the morons are watering down the word "terrorist" like they did "antisemetism"

And will have the same results unfortunately

The DT regime has convinced its tens-of-millions of MAGA followers that anybody who doesn’t support their views must be ‘anti-American’ and therefore should be treated as if they are enemies of the state. That is a consequence of DT’s malignant narcissism which has resulted in the spreading of his paranoid worldview.

So everyone is a domestic terrorist now? I hope they have enough pigs and cells to lock up the whole country lol

We should all wear masks.

Wearing a Palestinian keffiyeh over your face'll drive 'em wild . . . .

I felt safer and had more freedom [as a woman] living in a communist country, a country overtaken by a dictator, and a country governed by sharia law...crazy

I have to smile at the liberals I see here, stamping their little liberal feet while standing tall on their little books of liberal law.

liberal: "You can't do that! It's illegal!"

ICE/right-winger: >BLAMBLAMBLAM!<

Palindrome3777's avatar

Oh, plenty of us super progressives also have the Second Amendment backing up our foot stomping, and more of us every single day!

Mm-hm.

Kinda like a bunch of early Christians frantically waving crosses at pagan vampires . . . .

If it is illegal for us to record ICE and other thugs and it is NOT, then it also has to be illegal for *them* to record *us*, right? (What's good for the goose is good for the gander...?)

Except that they threaten to put us on a domestic terrorist list, with all the implications that might entail according to them: Imprisonment? deportation? black list to prevent us to get on a plane... Who knows?

We are not threatening to put them on a domestic terrorist list (although they should be). But if and when they misbehave, we do want them to get tried and punished if they are guilty.

As someone else noted, they can't lock up *all* of us.

Continue to take pictures of ICE.........if you can get pictures of their faces we can continue to put them on data. The Palestinians did this.

Every ICE agent has a girlfriend/wife????

My computer runs Linux with a Brave browser. Today the browser informed me that some outfit with a long URL but beginning with "INS" wanted to establish a link with the computer. Brave mentioned that this could be dangerous. I refused the link and deleted it. FYI.

My bad. The URL actually contains the sequence "ns result:IonInpputStreamReady@resource://devtools/shared/security/socket.js:296:20"

Ken, they can't withhold information about that system of records. The federal Privacy Act provides in part that agencies:

"(7) maintain no record describing how any individual exercises rights guaranteed by the First Amendment unless expressly authorized by statute or by the individual about whom the record is maintained or unless pertinent to and within the scope of an authorized law enforcement activity."

(The statute goes on to provide a federal court cause of action for that section's violation, with minimum statutory or higher actual damages and attorney fees.)

The statute also provides that for each system of records containing personal identifying information, the agency shall:

"publish in the Federal Register upon establishment or revision a notice of the existence and character of the system of records, which notice shall include—

(A) the name and location of the system;

(B) the categories of individuals on whom records are maintained in the system;

(C) the categories of records maintained in the system;

(D) each routine use of the records contained in the system, including the categories of users and the purpose of such use;

(E) the policies and practices of the agency regarding storage, retrievability, access controls, retention, and disposal of the records;

(F) the title and business address of the agency official who is responsible for the system of records;

(G) the agency procedures whereby an individual can be notified at his request if the system of records contains a record pertaining to him;

(H) the agency procedures whereby an individual can be notified at his request how he can gain access to any record pertaining to him contained in the system of records, and how he can contest its content; and

(I) the categories of sources of records in the system"

and etc.

I would like to say a few words here. I live in France. This has not come here yet BUT I suppose it is not too long before it does.

When the US became the US it was always about money and greed. Never changed and the citizens of US never cared what was happening in other countries (in the name of Democracy).

Well you know now. Record these facist faces and put their faces on the internet.

The Palestinians did this and many Israelis have been indicted and refused citizenship in other countries.

ALL these ICE people with their family's should not be allowed to emigrate when things get tough.

Question: Has a single ICE agent been legitimately injured via any interaction with a monitor or protestor and where the other person was at fault?

This has become ridiculous.
