They don’t want too many folks looking at your other work.

100%. Can’t show viewers info that hasn’t been vetted as safe for consumption by the adults in the room. NBC viewers should just relax and keep an eye out for the next insurance ad.

You will never be acknowledged as a peer by those hacks. Wear it like a badge of honor.

Actually, Klaus, there is a real *tort* being done to Ken here. It is called plagiarism and those folks should have their noses run into their poop, at the very least.

If no one says anything, these creeps can just make a fortune by subscribing to a few blogs and copying someone else's work.

Control "C" then control "V" is too easy to do.

Western legacy media has reached late-Soviet era Pravda levels of relevance and credibility.

Bob Fett's avatar

We should be honest and admit it was always at that level -- it's just that in the past decade or two we've started to develop more robust alternatives.

Please don't do the "what are we, a bunch of Asians?!" trope. America has its own rich history of propaganda all the way back to the Yellow Journalism age.

Man that's so embarrassing for them. Keep doing your thing, Ken. Happy subscriber here.

Keep up the good work, Ken. The defenders of the status quo are losing ground daily, as alternative media expands.

JennyStokes's avatar

I agree wholeheartedly and yes they are 'losing ground' which makes them more dangerous?

Philip Gardner's avatar

We always knew that these networks were inhabited by extremely small minded people

JennyStokes's avatar

"Small minded" means no morality.

Thank you Ken for your responsible journalism. The old media machine is breaking down and has become untrustworthy, incapable of true investigative journalism.

It’s on we the people and all the independent journalists and reporters to now hold the line for the continued existence of the 4th Estate. Hold Fast 🇺🇸

Wait, NBC News isn’t a blog?

"Legacy media’s dereliction is by design"

there it is

it used to be it was all good publicity as long as they spelled your name right. Now they just be leaving out your name. We know! #replyguy

Ken, everyone knows you, Turks, BP, Drop Site and the like are the new “cool kids” in town.

The legacy media is like the girl who was hot in high school, but you see her 20 years later and she’s not hot anymore. But she’s still trying to be and it’s just sad, cause she’ll never be hot again and she knows it. Everyone knows it. That’s NBC News and legacy media.

If the government comes to my door and asks "what do you know about Ken Klippenstein?" I can now answer, "he doesn't exist"

Von Verstehen Nothing's avatar

all that means there’s a coordinated effort to intimidate and silence you because reporting facts is a threat.

NSPM-7 is a Stalinist playbook but we live in a digital reality disallowing them to have a full control. Long live cached pages!

Bill Bates's avatar

We know where real journalism and reporting is coming from. It’s not from the MSM, that is compromised or complicit.

Get ‘em big dog, their validation ain’t worth shit anyway. We know where to find the facts.

So "giving credit where credit is due" is kinda lost on NBC and its cohort. Can't acknowledge that journalism exists beyond them, when actually many "just bloggers" have far surpassed and displaced the le-gass-y media. Before I started waking up to what's been going, especially since Oct. 7th, the NYT and Boston Globe were my primary news sources. No longer, maybe a couple or three perfunctory scans in a week now, and at that more for the secondary, "gee, that's kinda interesting" stories, not analysis for what's transpiring. Israeli/Zionist infiltration at the NYT is rife, use of the passive voice in describing the atrocities in Gaza being one turn-off, having Bret Stephens on staff is another. As for the Globe, its editor of the editorial page is an embarrassment to journalism, and I have reason to suspect Israeli/Zionist influence reigns there as well. Who needs 'em? That's what big media money get us? I'd rather - and do - spend my small media money on substantive journalism elsewhere.

You know, Ken, when I was a junior high then high school kid writing essays as so many assignments in France, I had to cite my sources. Using someone else's work without giving due credit is plagiarism.

Isn't there a legal recourse for plagiarism?

The legal action is Copyright infringement lawsuits, fines...

Amrita B's avatar

As a retired librarian, this also was my thought... To take other people's work without crediting them is plagiarism!
