Big Brother has been keeping tabs on us (illegally) for quite some time. Social media is not the problem, it’s an economic issue driven by inequality in our society.

Yeah, don't love how quickly discord will comply with big brother but since the Patriot Act, our agencies are spying on us and a good guiding principle is anything you say can and will be used against you in a court of law so be prepared to stand by what you say online.

I agree in a large, though, about social media. It doesn't actually do the things it does, it's easily puppeteered, and anything designed on addiction models is highly problematic. But all social media is like that, even Substack now and how quickly the note feature has turned into a quick post feature. We can't help ourselves.

My last thought is I am still laughing at how ridiculous Patel sounded saying he plans to see Kirk in Valhalla. I don't think Christians go to a pagan place and I don't think an elder pagan god like Odin is gonna take up Christians there but lol hey yeah go off, lil keebler elf.

Hello all. I got fired from my job at AHEAD as a senior project manager on Friday here in the good ole so called land of the free for talking shit online related to fucking Charlie Kkkkirk. It was part of that right wing doxxing campaign I'm fairly sure. So many got fired due to the fascist shitstorm caving to pressure from various sources and level of authority apparently.

Gettting cancelled for talking shit online only to get fired for it by so called free speech radicals who are anti-cancel culture is mind blowingly pathetic and despicable.

The buffoonery of those agencies that monitor us can be just as dangerous as the monitoring itself.

They could save a lot of time by shutting down rumble, telegram, and other social media of the right-wing that incites hate and violence to marginalized groups, but I doubt they will. Instead they'll go after some kid that is just pointing out that Israel is doing a genocide.

i think I was about 8 years old when my mother took me to a road production of The Music Man. We had so much fun I ended up learning the lyrics to Ya Got Trouble (Right Here in River City). Parental-hysteria-whipper-uppers like Gov Cox, issuing dire warning about your innocent unsupervised teens getting corrupted and subverted by whatever is the latest in youth pop entertainment -- coded to be inexplicable to Mom and Dad, be it rap or comic books or video games or motorcycle slang -- is such a perennial feature of American culture it is laughable -- but government will hurt a lot of innocent people before the stupid hysteria dies down.

Trump’s foreign policy is a goulash of contradictory action - EXCEPT for a fact that he is a Zionist dedicated to creation of ever-greater Israel — a MIGA fraud

-------------------------------------------

Steve Witkoff is publicly despairing that Trump did not receive Nobel Peace Prize for “resolving six+ wars” yet… In meantime, US GG ~~700,000 dead so far – mostly (71%) children.

Once US Christian Zionist lunatics (a sect), that is, non-Christian criminals in charge of “feeding” 2M+ Gazans, once they sufficiently starve them – desperate survivors would “willingly” move to Antarctica

Have you seen any chatter about authorities classifying this shooter as a Nihilistic Violent Extremist (NVE)?

Based on your recent reporting (where I learned about the TLA NVE), I assumed that someone out there would latch on to this moment to make NVE *a thing*

I recall reading that snail mail was routinely photographed, every single piece of it and the photos kept. I believe this dated to around 1920, possibly connected to the "Red Scare". The mail wasn't opened, only the addressee and return address being captured. This continued for some time though today it would be of little value to Uncle Snoop, I mean Uncle Sam, as nobody uses snail mail.

own your data, folks. we've been using the internet to communicate well before social media. get on tox, or iirc, setup your own server, use a vpn, use a browser with no history. right now, more than ever, the government is being run by moronic sycophants. if we all go behind the veil, they won't know where to start.
