What I don't get is why the USA is allowed to veto UN resolutions calling for a ceasefire when it's been supplying Israel with military equipment and money. Isn't that a conflict of interest?

I'll be interested in seeing what happens at the ICJ. Hopefully the charge if genocide against Israel will go ahead and the USA, and other supporting nations, will be implicated as aiding and abetting Israel.

Lest anyone still doubt that the administration's expressed concerns about killing civilians are but crocodile tears.

We help Israel aim the bombs that kill those civilians.

No one is fooled. The Israelis would never be capable of committing this genocide without the help of the US.

If this situation was transposed in two ways; first, that the US and Israeli states were individuals, and second, that these acts were being adjudicated under US law, the US would be as liable for the crimes as Israel is, as accessory before the fact, for providing weapons knowing exactly how they would be used, and during the crime itself, for providing targeting information regarding the victims, and after the fact by hiding the ‘shooter’ from authorities seeking to bring the ‘shooter’ to justice. It would, for any and all three roles it has chosen to play, be exactly as culpable for exactly the same crimes as Israel is. I don’t know whether that would be true in the context of what charges have been brought in front of the ICJ (I suspect not) but it is interesting to think about.

A group of South African lawyers seem to have sent a letter to US gov warning that they intend to hold US gov accountable: https://x.com/IsmailAbramjee/status/1744748556907405758?s=20

What would America be if it wasn’t exporting military hardware, corruption, and intelligence to genocide natives in an effort to colonize poor people.. what did you think we were going to do house and feed people? There is no profit in that.

Screw security. Goggle knows when I take a shit and I get toilet paper coupons on hemorrhoid cream adds. Our government taps into goggles facebooks and others surveilence data of us (without our permission to do so).

Our every typed word is captured by these internet companies and leveraged to the highest bidder so they can manipulate us by knowing our behavior patterns. Yet our own government agencies hid behind a security curtain we cannot penetrate. We the people don't have access to all the crap our government does. What essence of democracy can we possibly have if we don't have the same access they have on us.

*our democracy is a shame comrades*
